The Word Became Flesh is a 8" x 16" print of a 24" x 48" hand-painted acrylic piece with oil pencil on BC wood. 

I really wanted to communicate the idea that scripture is more than letters on paper, that make words, that form sentences, that tell a story. Scripture is three-dimensional and produces great impact. To illustrate the point I’ve taken specific pages of the Bible and pasted them onto BC wood, and created an image of Christ at the whipping post. This was originally created in front of an audience on a 48” x 96” piece of BC wood.
