This acrylic with oil pencil, 8" x 12" print of the original 24" x 36" painting on canvas, was created during a study of the crimes and genocides happening in Darfur, Sudan. I found a photo that is the reverse of this and really fell in love with the expression and composition of the piece. It's fear and sorry were subtle. I always got lost in the eyes of this figure. This was my attempt to bring attention to Darfur.
